The OPN 2001 is one of Opticon’s smallest barcode scanners, measuring just 1.2”x2.5”, and weighing only an ounce. Designed for mobility, this pocket memory scanner makes barcode data collection simple for anyone. It can be worn around the neck as a lanyard making data collection fast with Opticon’s 100/scan per second laser.

Using this scanner is straightforward with its two button function. Scan a barcode with the large button and it will be stored automatically. If you make a mistake, the smaller button allows you to re-scan the barcode in order to remove the item from the memory. It features a 512 kB flashROM memory, enough to accommodate over 10,000 scans with timestamps.

Once finished scanning, the OPN 2001 has a standard USB port which allows easy data transfer to a host device. The USB port is also used to charge the internal Lithium-Ion rechargeable battery.

Arriving this Fall - 2009...The OPN 2002 is one of Opticon’s smallest barcode scanners, measuring just 1.3”x2.5”, and weighing only an ounce. Designed for mobility, this pocket memory scanner makes barcode data collection simple for anyone. It can be worn around the neck as a lanyard making data collection fast with Opticon’s 100/scan per second laser.

For data transmission to a Bluetooth hosting device, choose between SPP, and HID profiles. The SPP profile allows the user to use a data loading tool and configure some Bluetooth transmission settings. For direct transmission without using any tools, the HID profile will fit the immediate wireless transfer needs. In occasions where Bluetooth is not available, the OPN 2001 has a standard USB port. This allows cabled data transfer to any USB device. The USB port is also used to charge the internal Lithium-Ion rechargeable battery, or if you prefer, an optional 10-bay cradle is available.

The high performance laser scanner provides a fast and accurate scan at 100 scans per second. The OPH 1003 has no problem reading poor quality or marginal bar code symbols.

The terminal transmits the data via IrDA (batch method) through the cradle which also charges the device.

The housing of the OPH 1003 is sealed to IP54 standards holding up where water and dust resistance is required. The scanner withstands multiple drops up to 5 feet onto concrete, yet weighs just 4.9 ounces.
